The primary benefit for the creation of corrective action
reports is to make certain that causes of nonconforming product
are identified and measures are put into place to eliminate
these causes. Preventive action reports are used to prevent
the occurrence of nonconforming product. Supplier corrective
action reports are used to record the actions needed to eliminate
nonconforming product that occur because of a supplier. All
actions and action reports contribute to an organization's
overall continuous quality improvement.
This multi-purpose database allows companies to investigate,
document, implement and close corrective action reports (CARs),
preventative action reports (PARs) and supplier corrective
actions reports (SCARs). Companies can use this database to
document how these actions are taken by opening and tracking
CARs, PARs and SCARs, as well as measuring the continuous
quality improvement made throughout their organization.
